“it means, i love you”
hurts like hell – fleurie.
You’re telling me a gar* licked this bread?
*a North American freshwater fish of the family Lepisosteidae
A helpful visual:
Lobster in a bucket looks like a gigantic monster on a metallic planet, and the waterdrops look like stars.
This is transcendental.
Thoughts?
”No thanks, I’m trying to cut back
morality is definitely a human concept but i do think that dolphins know what they do is wrong
i love men that know when to just shut their fucking mouth
i’ve never met one
but i love the concept
but if I guy said this about a girl ??? ? ??
but if a mouse said this about a kia sorento ??? ? ??
this isn’t something that seriously bothers me or interferes with my quality of life but I have a Thing about corners and my relation to imagined geometric planes
if I am sitting at a desk with papers in front of me, I strongly prefer to angle them in such a way that the planes formed by their edges would not intersect with my body if they were to extend infinitely into space
the instinct to protect oneself against the sharp edges of the geometry that holds fabric of spacetime together
rocky horror is the worst and is also transmisogynistic can we please finally get over this shit movie
ok but like the writer is transgender nonbinary and the language used in the play was the preferred language by trans people of that time can we not deny parts of our history because we’ve evolved since then thanks
So fucking much this.
PS, youth of today: you’ll be saying the same damn thing about art from this time before too long, for good or for ill. Terminology will, in fact, change. Definitions will, in fact, shift. It always does, they always do.
PPS, it is pretty much impossible to overstate how life-alteringly important this movie was to kids who didn’t conform to standard expectations of gender and sexuality, back in the day. Especially when back in the day was the mid-to-late 1980s, when the only queers you saw on TV were neutered AIDS tragedies, Bowie was playing straight, and even Elton John was married to a woman, and midnight showing of RHPS were pretty much the only place that felt like home. It was mental life raft for a lot of people.
I was one of them.
#the queer youth of today has forgotten all its history and is spitting on its ancestors and i hate it (via @gaythreats)
beautifully phrased

“no one dreams of labor”
Except I kinda do. I dream of a job designed about my limitations with proper compensation. I dream of being able to contribute to a society in a way that helps people enjoy their life a little more and isn’t just designed to enrich a few elites. I dream of labor that is not exploitive and enriches the life of those in my community.
I want to be part of a community, and I want my labor to matter. I dream of labor in a better world.
fr i love that we’ve finally caught on that the “dream job” concept is toxic and was pushed on us in childhood, but “no one dreams of working” is a total false dichotomy that we should reject as well
for my part i know that i love doing simple things with my hands and i would have stayed a restaurant dishie forever if they’d showed me some basic respect and paid me enough to avoid day-to-day stresses
